Custom Domain

You can now set up a personalized domain for your community, giving members a unique and professional URL to access your portal. This helps reinforce your brand and creates a seamless experience.

🔑 Why Use a Custom Domain?

  • Brand Recognition – Create a professional identity (cad.yourcommunity.com).

  • Easy Access – Members can quickly find your CAD without long or generic links.

  • Trust & Professionalism – Reinforce your community’s brand presence.

📖 Setup Guide

Step 1: Add Your Custom Domain

  • Navigate to Settings → Custom Domain.

  • Enter your desired subdomain (e.g., cad.imperial-solutions.net).

Do not include http:// or www.

Step 2: Verify Ownership

To verify ownership, you’ll need to add two DNS records with your domain provider:

Type
Name
Value
TTL

A

(your chosen subdomain) E.G: cad

76.76.21.21

Shortest / Auto

TXT

imperial_verify

(unique value provided in setup)

Shortest / Auto

  • The A record points your chosen domain or subdomain to ImperialCAD’s servers.

    • Example: If you enter cad.imperial-solutions.net, then the Name would be cad.

    • If you want to use your root domain (e.g., yourcommunity.com), then the Name may be left blank or @ depending on your registrar.

  • The TXT record is generated uniquely for your community. You must copy the exact Name and Value shown in your setup screen. This value is different for each community.

  • After saving changes, DNS may take a few minutes (sometimes up to 24 hours) to update.

  • Once ready, click Run Verification in your ImperialCAD dashboard.

Step 3: Complete Setup

  • Once verified, you’ll see a confirmation screen.

  • Click Finish Setup to finalize.

  • Your CAD will now be accessible via your custom domain.

⚠️ Troubleshooting

  • Verification Failed: Double-check that your DNS records match exactly (no extra spaces).

  • Still Not Working? DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours depending on your provider.

  • If issues persist, open a support ticket with your domain details.
